BUSINESS TERMS & CONDITIONS (updated September 2023)
DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS
Any personal information (name, phone numbers, email addresses etc) will be used to provide the requested service & be kept, if necessary. Details will not be disclosed to other third parties without pupil’s prior permission or unless required to do so by law. Loxley Driving School will not keep credit or debit card details, any details given will be destroyed as soon as a payment is processed.
CANCELLATIONS
24 hours’ notice before the appointment must be given to cancel an appointment or full payment will be required. Cancellation of an appointment must be made by calling 07584031878
Missed appointments will be charged full payment.
No alternative appointment can be guaranteed. Any deposit made is non-refundable.

ROAD SAFETY

It is the pupil’s responsibility to ensure they are fit to drive. Loxley Driving School will carry out an eyesight test on the first lesson, if practicable, & it is the pupil’s responsibility to make sure they continue to meet the current legal eyesight requirements with regards to driving a motor vehicle. It is the pupil’s responsibility to make sure they are wearing appropriate footwear.

Advice should be taken by the pupil if any medical condition is present or if any medication is being taken which may affect their ability to drive. It is the pupil’s responsibility not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of their lesson. Action may be taken against the pupil if any accident occurs due to a lack of their fitness to drive.

Loxley Driving School reserves the right to withdraw the use of the car for tests should the pupil not be up to test
standards but will give reasonable notice to the pupil so they can avoid losing the test fee.
POSTPONEMENT OF LESSONS/TESTS & BOOKING OF TESTS

Loxley Driving School cannot be held responsible for postponement of lessons or part of due to ill health, accident, breakdown, adverse weather conditions or traffic delays. In these cases, Loxley Driving School will contact the pupil as soon as practically possible to advise them. Loxley Driving School will endeavour to arrange an alternative appointment in these cases, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Loxley Driving School cannot be held responsible for postponement of driving tests by the Driving & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

Loxley Driving School will advise the pupil of their readiness to take, or when to book, the driving test. This advice will give due consideration to the current test centre waiting list & will consider the forecast of the pupil’s potential for reaching the driving test pass standard.
IN-CAR CCTV RECORDING
Loxley Driving School has front & driver-facing car cameras always recording in the car. The cameras are for the safety of Loxley Driving School and the pupil.
The cameras can record sound & footage may be kept for training, educational & insurance purposes or for reporting incidents to the police. Sound & the driver-facing car camera can’t be recorded or used on driving tests. Footage would only be shared or published with prior agreement of the pupil. By booking your appointment you are accepting these T&Cs.
PAYMENT
The current lessons charges are available on the website & if an increase in charges is likely, reasonable notice will be given.

Payment for lessons must be made at the time of the lesson unless by pre-arranged agreement- this is the pupil’s responsibility. In the case of pre-paid lessons there must be sufficient credit remaining for the duration of the lesson.

Payment will be requested at the start of the lesson. Loxley Driving School reserve the right not to take a pupil on a lesson if payment is not available & to later charge for the lost lesson; this includes pre-test lessons.

Receipts for any payments made are available at the request of the pupil.
PUPILS USING OWN CARS FOR LESSONS & DRIVING TESTS
It is the pupil’s responsibility who take lessons or driving tests in their own car to ensure that the car is fully insured for those purposes, is taxed & if required has a current MOT certificate. Pupils who take their driving tests in their own car should ensure that there are no active re-call notices on the car & that the make, model & type of vehicle is not on the list issued by the DVSA of vehicles deemed unsuitable for driving tests (certain type of convertibles for example). Be advised that if Loxley Driving School drive a pupil’s own car after a driving test, this is with third-party cover only.
Each pupil will receive an electronic copy of the T&Cs.
